Urban Design and Building Services have been ‘Highly Commended’ in the prestigious RICS Awards, for their refurbishment project to Beaconview, Broome, Sheapecoate and Stanton Houses, Charlemont Farm, West Bromwich.
The blocks, in Beaconview Road, have undergone an £8 million upgrade with improvements which include gas central heating, insulated external wall render and cladding system, new energy efficient windows, an insulated pitched roof and a new glazed front entrance lobby.
Completed last summer the tenants have benefitted from Secured by Design flat entrance doors, a positive input ventilation system, improved fire precaution works and external landscaping work which includes additional car parking.
RICS is a global professional body who promotes and enforces the highest standards in the development and management of land, real estate, construction and infrastructure.
The annual event has been running for over ten years and demonstrates the best built environment from the land, property and construction sectors.
