Harvest Road, Rowley Regis

Sandwell Council’s Urban Design and Building Services recently submitted a planning application for the proposal of an 80 bed, ensuite stepdown facility on Harvest Road in Rowley Regis. The facility will be part of the strategy to ease the strain on bed blocking within the NHS and provide a great environment for short stay residents to receive the reablement/social care they require. The proposal will also benefit from a large purpose designed garden to allow residents to realign themselves with nature and aid the healing process.

As part of the design we are providing communal resident spaces which will help residents to engage with each other, and a mixed-use space which will be used for eating, socialising and activities. It is hoped these spaces will encourage people to reintegrate and socialise, as well as being able to get involved in a range of activities.
