Works were recently completed to replace the existing heating boilers, along with the associated equipment and controls which provide the source of heating and hot water for the council building. The existing boilers were original to when the building was built and had become unreliable and difficult and expensive to maintain.
The new boilers are gas fired and are high efficiency condensing boilers which should ensure that the system is more efficient and should lead to reduced running costs and reduced carbon dioxide emissions.
